Approximately 100 to 200 pets are adopted from the city of Henderson animal control shelter per month. Adoption fees are: cats/kittens, $55 each; dogs/puppies, $65 each; and ferrets, $55 each. Fees include routine vaccines, spay or neuter surgery, if not already done, microchip ID and registration and a rabies tag or Henderson license, depending on where you live. Cash, checks and major credit cards are accepted for payment. Call the shelter at 267-4970 for more information.
