Department offers look at CCSD policing

January 21, 2013Clark County School District Police Chief James Ketsaa was on hand to offer trustees Carolyn Edwards and Lorraine Alderman, along with members of the media, a look inside the policing efforts of district schools, Jan. 18.
The tour, which included the emergency operations, communications and mobile command centers, was designed in part to reassure the public about safety measures in place at local schools.
Comprised of more than 200 personnel, the CCSD Police Department is responsible for policing the nation's fifth-largest school district. The department is located on Corporate Park Drive in Henderson. Officers respond to around 80,000 calls for service annually.
